Team Building - How to Build Teams That Will Still Respect You in the Morning

You can't pick up a business magazine today without reading an article about team building. It is THE hot management topic. Most of these articles over simplify the team approach and the effort required to build successful business teams.

The following tips are based upon twenty five years of observations as a team development and leadership consultant.

Look before you leap: A typical team concept takes between two and five years to implement. Changing the corporate culture does not happen overnight. You and those you report to must be willing to look long range. There are no "quick fix" team building programs that will produce instant, documented results.

Develop a Plan: Develop the entire team program before you tack up the first "Go Team" poster on the company bulletin board. Changing the course of your team building ship is very difficult and very expensive. So make sure you know where you want to go before you leave the dock.

Insist on integrity and mutual respect in all your meetings and interactions: One critical key to successful teams is developing trust and respect in the workplace. You as the "coach" must set the example. Write less CYA (cover your tail) memos. Make more commitments verbally, and make sure you keep them. Empower your subordinates to make more decisions.

Share Your Vision: Let the team know where you want the organization to be five years from now. Let them be a part of the change. Most importantly, let them take an active role in the process. You will find that most of the answers to your problems and questions are in the heads of your employees. All you need to do is ask....and listen. That is one of first lessons of building teams.

By setting the example you accomplish two things. 1) You let the rest of the crew know what the "new" appropriate behavior is. 2) You begin the process of change subtly, but solidly.

All successful team building programs start with senior management commitment. Your staff will look to you to see if this "new concept" is a passing fad or a new way of doing business.

Let them see the power of the team.

Diet Plans For Muscle Building

Diet plans for muscle building are crucial to your success. Exercise and weight training can only do so much for you. If you are not implementing the right di1C83et into your muscle building journey, you are essentially not doing yourself much good at all. Knowing what to eat and how to eat are critical elements in it.

Remember when you were younger, your parents told you that every growing child has to eat the right foods to become big and strong? Well, the same applies now, even as an adult. In order to grow, you have to eat, but in order to grow in the desired way, you have to eat right. Eating the wrong foods will lead to fat. In body building, there is nothing worse than fat.

There are many different types of diet plans for muscle building. These include protein, anabolic, and low carb diets. The protein diet is one diet that many body builders use and maintain. It is a known fact in the world of bodybuilding that protein is necessary to gain the muscle mass you are looking for. There are many ways you can get your protein, but with a protein diet, it consists of animal meats and other such forms of protein.

Another one of the many diet plans for it is the anabolic diet. This diet is not as popular because it takes more discipline and careful planning. In this diet, all you eat is protein, that is it - nothing more. Carbs are kept to a minimum during the week. When the weekend comes, carbs are allowed and you try to eat as many as you possibly can. However, this really takes some discipline.

If you are not careful and watchful, the anabolic diet can actually increase your body fat instead of your muscles. It is important to stick to the diet during the weekdays, in order to refrain from gaining the fat.

The low carb diet is another of the diet plans for muscle building. Again, in this diet, you are limiting the amount of carbs you are eating. However, as with the anabolic diet, it is not the preferred diet for bodybuilders. It is difficult to stick with and tends to wear out the bodybuilder quickly, increasing fatigue and weakness.

The reason for this is that your body loves carbs. It turns the carbs into fuel for the body. However, with this diet, the body is tricked into using fat for its fuel instead of carbs. Depending on who you talk to, this diet may also cause you to lose muscles as well.

Team-Building Should Not Just Be A Fad!

Teamwork is essential in achieving success. Everyone knows that, or do they? All too often we find ourselves members of a team in name only. People work for a business or an organization, but are not a part of it. Alexandre Dumas the Elder, famously announced, "All for one, one for all, that is our motto." A great sentiment, but all too often leaders fail to build a team of their organizations. Ram Charan in his book Know-How (2007) has a section that talks about the reality of the "team" in some organizations and gives steps on how to create an effective team. Charan notes that people tend to focus on "their own functional specialties and have their own personal ambitions." That is exactly why the leader is also responsible for creating the team, not just leading one.

It would be easy if leaders could just inherit a cohesive team and hit the ground running, but that just is not the case. A team has to be forged before it can be lead. That is why there is such a huge market for executive retreats, team-building trips and other team oriented training. Those once or twice a year activities are great, but not enough to forge a truly robust team. Everyone from the mailroom to the executive office needs to understand they are important and play a very active role in the success of the organization; they are all a part of the team. Leaders need to take the time and communicate with people and leave them with the feeling that "what I do here matters."

John C. Maxwell in his book, The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader (1999), labels the 21st quality of a leader as Vision. What does vision have to do with building a team? Everything! Just as Maxwell points out "you [a leader] can seize only what you can see", the same is true for team members. You can't expect a team to be totally focused and working toward the same objectives if they do not understand what they are working towards. People need to comprehend the mission and objectives of their organization. Charan makes the same point when he says, "the centerpiece of this know-how [Unity without Uniformity] is getting your team to understand, focus on, and commit to the total business." You need to do more than write a fancy mission statement. You have to take the time to show the team what they are working towards. Vividly paint what you see. Let them in on your vision-make it one team working towards one vision.

Communicate your employees' worth and value while showing them that their hard work is a part of your vision. This extra effort will allow you to lead an effective team and as Charan notes, "An effective team becomes not only a powerful competitive advantage, it also becomes a source of satisfaction that is a great device to retain the best people." Team-building should not be a fad; it should be an organizational hallmark.

List Building - Want Yet Another Reason To Build A List?

I am sure you have heard it all before, especially if you have been online for any length of time - that the list is where the money is. Well as true as that may be, how about some other reason for building a list?

Build a list and get more of the traffic you are losing for example.

Consider this, would you rather utilise the traffic coming to your site or do you prefer the extra work and money it takes to get "new" visitors to your site each time you have a product to promote? How often are you going to be chasing after fresh traffic when you can generate your own traffic from your opt in list and market to it many times over?

Okay, how about this? About 2-5% will buy from your website first time round. This is however down to a combination of things like freebies, guarantees, great sales copy, right pricing and trust to mention just a few.

Having spent money or time to get this traffic it would seem criminal to just lose it without making a fuss. So what are you going to do about those that will not buy on 111Athe first visit to your website? Will you for the sake of 2-5% lose a potential 95%? Think about that for a moment.

Build a list - your very own opt-in list, capture the contact details of the 95% non buyers, follow them up and build a meaningful relationship with them. A relationship that ensures you are no longer a stranger when they receive your email, you can then direct them to your website with a higher prospect of making a sale. - alot higher than the 2-5% most marketers are happy to settle for.

Build a list and maximise your traffic, get better responses and make money online.

Building Relationships to Build Business

Everyone you meet is a potential customer as well as a friend. We don't make friends just to drive business but it is important to keep in mind how our services and products can help and enrich our friends and acquaintances. If we truly value what we do and what we offer, it is only natural that we want to bring these things to everyone we meet.

Attending networking events is probably the most natural venue for building relationships. But don't limit yourself to scheduled networking events. In your day to day life don't forget to present your business to everyone you meet. I once gained two clients while purchasing a mattress set. Conversation is your key to establishing those relationships that can translate to new customers. Just be open and engaging in all your interactions.

But once you have established those relationships the real work begins. Relationships that are neglected or taken for granted will wither and die. Follow up is so important. Email and the telephone can be the life's blood to nurturing your relationships. Recently, services have become available to send actual greeting cards and postcards to your new acquaintances through online card services. These dynamic services can build a data base of potential clients, personal friends and family, and existing customers and allow you to send personalized cards to everyone on your lists. These cards are ordered through your computer and allow you to write your own message, choose formats, and personalize through photos. They are printed and mailed the US mail by the service provider at a cost lower than if you did the leg work and paid for the card and postage yourself. It is a new resource that every networking business person should investigate.

Remembering birthdays, anniversaries, and important events becomes easy with these card services, where you are reminded when to send out cards or messages. As you grow your business you will discover that your first ventures into the networking world will train you for the hard work of relationship marketing and outsourcing the follow-up functions will save you a lot of time while keeping you current and thorough in all your follow-up efforts.

The most important thing is to make that initial connection and grow it into a lasting and sustainable relationship. Any established business has at its roots, a base of long-term loyal customers who formed the foundation for the business' growth. When you are just starting out it is important to keep the "big picture" in mind. That small customer who only needs your services every quarter can become a bi-weekly account if nurtured and valued correctly. Just be willing to do the initial leg work and outsource as many of the time consuming follow-up activities as you can. Coordination of effort is vital to a well rounded relationship marketing strategy.

List-Building: Stick to Your Niches

If you're new to online marketing, realize that you really can have one squeeze page and one sales letter. That's it! Your job is to drive traffic there. That's all. Just drive tons and tons of traffic there and be list building.

It's really not smart to go into several different niches at once. Decide how you can drive as much traffic as you can a single system, so that it totally excites you. You want to be completely passionate about that system and test it like crazy to rev up the conversion. At the same time, you're list building around your niche and creating a business.

If you find that you've b1C83een cranking on that niche for 45 days and you haven't made a dime, it might be a good idea to research at least one other niche--maybe. But I dont think that a niche exists where you can't make money. If you're list building easily, it just may be that you haven't given yourself enough time to succeed.

Some niches just take a bit more work than others do. But I won't work on a project that doesnt interest me. It has to appeal to my passions, the things that I really care about. Some people may be able to do that, but I'm not one of them.

My best advice is to focus on one niche and devote your time and passion to it. Build a great list in that niche and monetize it well. Then, you can build a business around it. Make it something that you can be really proud of and that produces income for long time to come. Only after you're really good at that ONE niche should you go out and try another.

Building a Super Coaching Business -- Using the Internet More Successfully

My guess is that IF you are using the internet for one aspect of your marketing that you are getting little to nothing from your website. Am I right?

Whenever I ask the question: "How many leads do you get from your website a week....the answer has almost always been.....ZERO." Yes, ZERO.

My rule of thumb is that over 99% of all websites don't work. That means that they aren't delivering you coaches, or most any small business, any clients.

That doesn't mean they aren't out there. What it means is that it isn't working for you.

In January 2007

There were this many searches for

  • Business Coach 5,487
  • Executive Coach 1,982
  • Life Coach 16,174
  • Career Coach 2,508
  • Corporate Coach 242
  • Personal Coach 3,120
  • Financial coach 236
  • Mortgage coach 463
  • Real Estate Coach 604

All you have to do is

  • Get noticed by the group you want to be noticed by
  • Convert a percentage of those on your website....convert to a call, a signup, or some form of contact.

So, why does your current website not work for you?

There are two major parts of marketing

  • How many people see you
  • How many of those that are converted to take the action you want.

Are you in control of those two measurements?

For most of the coaches I talk to, they aren't in control of either of those measurements, don't know what can be expected, and aren't managing what they do get.

How many people visit your website each month?

Let's take a look at the Business Coach searches we mentioned above, just as an example. With about 5,500 people looking for a business coach:

IF you are on page one of the search engines, you should be able to capture at least 5% or more of those...getting them to come to your website. That would be 275 people. Do you have that many coming to your site?

Do you have a statistics package on your website to measure and to manage that number?

How do you get that many....or more....to your website every month.

Some choices are

  • o Search engine optimization-getting to page one on one of the three major search engines: Google, Yahoo, or MSN. (the others don't have enough traffic to worry about...focus on these three).
  • o Pay-per-click campaigns-paying for each of the people that come to your site. I know some people avoid the cost, but...this works. Wouldn't you rather spend a few bucks and have people looking at your site within 15 minutes of making that decision? I would...and I DO.
  • o Article Marketing - writing articles on major online ezine directories. People will read your articles, get to know you, and come to your site. In addition, this is a great way to get search engines to move you to page one. We'll talk about that in another article.

Out of all of those that DO come to your site....what percentage actually take the next step...signup, call, buy something?

Depending on what the end result is an acceptable number can be anywhere between 1% and 70%.

If you are trying to go straight for "selling coaching" on the website, the response is likely to be VERY low. Of course, there are other things involved here: how well you say what you say, and how well that reaches them. Take a look at some of my other articles on marketing that will focus you on the right things to say. Just redoing that can increase from where you are to 5-10 times more response.

The best way to capture prospects is to provide more information on your site, give them value....value....value and they will beg for more. Then capture their contact information so that you can continue giving them value. The more you give, the higher percentage of those that come will take step by step.

Create a marketing funnel on your website. A funnel has a wide mouth at the top, narrowing as it goes down. So does our marketing. At the top we are reaching out into the world to touch our target market. It is broad at the top. You'll reach out into the market place by offering samples of what you do, and the results you provide. One way of doing that is through articles talking about what you do and the results. Give it away and people will LOVE you for it. They will get to know you, and want more.

When they want more, you give them the opportunity to step down deeper into that funnel.

Top of funnel -- Give them more free information, articles, one chapter of your e-book, 1-hour teleconference, etc..

2nd step of funnel -- Give them some low cost samples, e-book, longer teleconference.

3rd-4th step of funnel-Small steps with more and more valuable information, but costing just a little more at each step. You might have steps of $9.95, $24,95, $74.95, $99.95, $250.

Bottom of funnel-your coaching.

If people were amazed at the results they got in every step, they WANT to take the next step all of the way down the funnel.

Marketing is about "getting attention" and then "getting the prospect to WANT to CALL YOU."

Sales is about building rapport with the prospect, building credibility, until they are asking you to help them with the last step.

Your website can fit neatly into the marketing step, getting attention, and starting that "building rapport and credibility", and getting them to want that last step.

So, tell me. Have you been heading for the bottom line sell of your coaching on the internet and missing building those clients before the sell?

The number of people contacting you can be high...very high if you do this step right.

Office Team Building Exercises

There are many different kinds of office team building exercises that can be used to help improve your companys internal communications, morale, trust, and cohesiveness. Team building exercises are undertaken in a spirit of fun, but also play an important role in strengthening your ability to function as a unit.

Team building exercises can be used ocDCBcasionally, such as to augment your annual general meeting, or on a more regular basis to help maintain productivity. They can also be used as a form of crisis management, such as to help address fears during a period of change, or as a response to a need for radical restructuring in order to meet the challenge of a new competitor, for example. Team building is useful for introducing new employees, strengthening ties between existing staff, or as a fun way to bring together individuals who dont often interact.

Having your team members work together in any endeavor that takes them out of the ordinary office realm can be an interesting exercise in communication and cooperation. To facilitate this, consultants often organize activities that use arts, sports, games, or any structured form of interacting that requires teamwork. In some cases this creates a visible, or otherwise tangible example of what you can accomplish together such as each person playing a percussion instrument that all together creates a piece of music; linking arms to create a chain that demonstrates the importance of each individual link, and so on. In other cases, the activity requires brainstorming and the combined effort of all to solve a problem.

The dual purpose of having fun and learning together makes for a day that is relaxing and enjoyable in itself, as well as providing lasting results as you develop your skills as a team. A large amount of research has gone into the development of specialized programs, books and services that can help your company achieve its productivity goals and improve employee relations. The wide variety of creative solutions offered includes everything from cooking together, to outdoor adventures, scavenger hunts to simulations of extreme sports Take some time to explore the possibilities and find new ways to enhance your office environment.

Browsing the websites of consultants is a good place to start to find some fun ideas you can implement yourself, or with the help of a professional. Most programs are designed for maximum flexibility and can be tailored to meet the needs of almost any group, large or small. Incorporate some creative team building into your next boardroom meeting, or be extra adventurous and arrange for some outdoor activity. The return on investment is not something to take lightly. The benefits of maintaining an enjoyable work atmosphere includes improved mental and physical health, higher productivity, and more. Find out what the right team building exercises can do for you.

Body Building Nutrition - Discover The Secrets Of True Body Building Nutrition

While 97% of your progress will come from nutrition and training there are still a few basics to consider. Strength training and correct nutrition will grow muscle, and nutrition counts for approximately 70 to 80 percent of bodybuilding success.

Publications featuring natural bodybuilders began to spread the gospel of healthy living through proper nutrition and exercise but don't lose sight of the fact that sound nutrition forms the basis of any muscle building program and no amount of supplementation with the latest and greatest products will make up for bad eating habits. Contest preparation is mostly the science of nutrition and mental preparation.

Try to incorporate a fat burner into your weight loss program that also includes proper nutrition and exercise. Once again, assuming that your workouts are productive, your diet is one of good nutrition and you are allowing your body to recover by getting proper sleep, there are many supplements that are fantastic to help you increase your muscle mass, lose weight, increase pumps and gain strength.

On the other hand, glutamine is one of the 20 amino acids encoded by the standard genetic code used in nutrition therapy and also considered to be a brain fuel and used therapeutically for alcoholism and mild depression.

Body Building Meals

If your body weight is 200 pounds, a daily intake of 300 grams of protein (6 meals with 50 grams of protein each) would be required. 5-6 meals a day are an absolute must whether you want to lose bf or gain weight. Growth takes place outside of the gym while you are eating healthy meals and while sleeping and resting.

The general rule of thumb is that your body needs to have 4-6 small meals that are high in protein, spaced out over a 2-3 hour span to keep your metabolism high and prevent fat storage. Follow your workouts with a good diet including 5-6 meals a day with lean protein, nutritious veggies and healthy fats and you are on your way. Mid morning should consist of a high protein meal (remember, since you should be consuming 5-6 meals a day, a meal only means maybe 400-600 calories) of possibly some tuna, turkey, chicken or a meal replacement or protein drink.

For bodybuilders the weight gain meals are what they are most interested in consuming. Most replacement meals come in several tasty varieties and are engineered to either help you lose weight or gain muscle weig111Cht.

Eating 5-6 solid muscle-building meals each day will build more muscle than any pill or powder. So this means you will have to invest in some Tupperware and perhaps an ice chest so you can have meals handy.

Building Your Prospect List 10 at a Time

When you have gone through your list for the day, it is time to build the list for the next day. I recommend only one day at a time because of the referrals you will get from your calls during the day. If you would rather plan a week in advance, then you should do so and call the referrals as they come in. Remember doing the calls is only a portion of your day and the remainder of the time will be spent doing the work you have created for yourself and other activities. Through all of your activities, networking, and client interactions, you will be building more names for your call list. You can plan on obtaining additional leads everywhere you go. You never know where the conversation will lead when in another person's office or at a social gathering.

It is not that you are after business every waking hour; it is just that you must be aware of business opportunities that you can follow up with during your working hours. You may have some solid business relationships that take you to social outings so you can potentially meet people that you will eventually do business with. I recently went to an event through an alliance partner and I was not really sure if I wanted to go. I was so busy networking and trying to gain business that I almost passed on the opportunity. I finally got ready and went to the event. At this event I met two potential customers and agreed to meet with them the following week. You never know where your leads will come from, even if you are too tired, just go and enjoy, you never know what will happen.

At a breakfast meeting I had recently, a discussion of closing business became the topic. She felt that sometimes things she though were locked down often fell through. At other times she said that the business comes out of nowhere because she had attended an event or had done her follow-up calls. You just have to make sure you keep calling.

Bette Daoust, Ph.D. has been networking with others since leaving high school years ago. Realizing that no one really cared about what she did in life unless she had someone to tell and excite. She decided to find the best ways to get peoples attention, be creative in how she presented herself and products, getting people to know who she was, and being visible all the time. Her friends and colleagues have often dubbed her t1117he Networking Queen. Blueprints for Success - Networking: 150 ways to promote yourself is the first in this series. List Building With Articles - Step By Step Outline For List Building With Articles

One of the best ways to build your opt in list is to use articles as a large part of your list building strategy.

Articles are proven to add laser targeted leads to your list and the following outline will show you step by step how to use list building with articles.

Step #1 - You need to keep your articles fairly short and to the point. Your articles should not be any longer than 350 words.

This way you can keep your reader interested and wanting to learn more from you.

If you find that your article is going to be much longer, then break it up into two parts.

Step #2 - You will want to use your resource box at the end of your article to invite your reader to visit your website.

Make sure your resource box offers a powerful and useful free report or bonus for visiting your web site and let them know they can get even more great information by viewing your offer.

Step #3 - Now comes the list building part of using articles. You will want to set up a very simple, short one page website.

This web site should have a compelling headline and offer a freebie of some sort. Then you will want to use three to five bullet points outlining the benefits of your free offer and what your visitor will learn.

You will need to set up a small form or subscription box where they can enter their name and email address.

This is how you will be building your list. Now what you need to do is write and submit more articles and keep building your list.

Send the people on your list great content mixed in with great offers for products and over time you will should see profits coming in.

List building with articles should be a large part of your every day marketing efforts.

Team Building The Only Way to Succeed

A great way to build a stronger team is to increase the understanding that every member has with regard to the part they play in the team and the part that all other members play. The more a person knows about how they contribu8D4te to the whole the more motivation they will have to do their best. If everyone does their best the teams will always succeed. It is just that easy.

I have spoken to people that say that they never include certain jobs members in their team building activities. This is a problem since everyone has a job that is important. If that was not the case there would be no job. If you wan to eliminate specific people on the team from the team building things then you may as well fire them. The answer to that is that they cannot fire there people. My point exactly, if they are important enough to keep they are part of the team and should be treated as such.

One of the great ways to get the team stronger is to do role playing. This is following in the same line as the appreciation for the jobs that all other team members do. If a cashier is put in the role of a manager, an exercise of course, they will understand the pressures that the manager is under and have a greater appreciation for what the manager does. The knowledge of this will likely enter their mind when they react to something the manager did that they may not have agreed with. Of course this is not such a clear cut thing but the idea is there for you to understand.

Learn how your team operates and make sure that all team members understand how it operates. Knowledge is key and is the more you give out the better off everyone will be. Treat your team like a close knit group and they will become such.

List Building: Setting Up a Synergistic List-Building System

Getting started with any project is the most important thing, and we don't always do it right. For instance, here is where people lose a lot of money, so this is really important.

If you're doing a teleseminar series, drive traffic, including your own list members to your list building squeeze page and be list building around a group of people who might be interested in the calls.

This is a great opportunity to monetize the thank you page, after people have joined the list, via the "homework" link or the "pre-call training." What youll find is that if only 30 to 50 percent of the people that sign up for your teleseminar list actually show up for the call, you still end up selling a certain percentage of them some product, right? It's like a head start.

Anyway, this happens in the first week of promotions. Drive traffic to your primary list building page for the whole series of calls.

At the same time, send three sample emails about the calls series to each of your speakers (and I would have three different emails--sequential emails), and say, Send these three emails about the teleseminar series or customize them to sound more like you.

If you have six speakers, be sure you get on all six of their lists, so that you know whether the emails were actually sent to their lists. And get each person to commit to the specific days that theyre going to send out. Get absolute dates. Im going to send out on a Wednesday, August 12th, Im going to send out on Thursday, August 13th and Im going to send out on Friday, August 15th.

And then those mornings, the first thing that you do is you pick up the phone and call the people who agreed to send out that day. Its your job to get as many of those people to mail out as possible, okay, and they wont. Its your job to motivate them to hustle and to remind them in a nice way, but make sure you get an absolute commitment from them in email and over the phone and make sure they have it written on their calendars.

For the Second week and subsequent weeks (assuming you hold a call once a week), change the destination URL for each speaker's affiliate link to the list building page for their particular event. If you have six people to interview, you should have seven squeeze pages for list building, including the one you used to advertise the entire series and one for each speaker.

Then what you can do is, one or two days before each call, get the person you're going to interview to send another message out to his or her list about their call. Tell your partners, What weve done is changed the destination of your affiliate link and it goes straight to the squeeze page for your interview.

Now heres the key; this is magic what Im about to explain to you. The key is you set up your autoresponder, and what youre going to do is when people opt-in for a particular call, whats going to happen is theyre going to be opting-in to a list for the speaker's call, and set it up so that you're list building, too, and that people are opting-in to your main list. Then, be sure to set your main list up so that it doesnt allow for multi-subscribes.

The main concept is because Bobby Jones is going to be driving straight to his squeeze page for his interview, you want to make sure that people get popped into your primary list as well, so that when you promote the calls in the future, you have everybody in one place.

Plus, for the thank you pages for your speaker's calls, you use a thank you page for their primary product, and make a bunch of money. Plus, you've been list building the whole way. The money's great, but it's really the list that matters. From a list, you can make money over, and over, and over again, even after the teleseminar series is over.

List Building - How To Double Or Even Triple Your Opt-In Conversion Rates!

If you want to double or even triple your email list opt-in rate, one way to go about it is to increase your traffic to your website. An easier way is to simply increase the conversion rate of your lead capture page, or the page where your visitor opts in to your newsletter.

Here are some ways to increase your opt-in rate:

Limited Time Only

Offer a subscription for a limited time only. This is guaranteed to boost your opt-in rate. But you have to keep to your promise to retain credibility.

Limited Quantities

You can offer limited quantities of your giveaway product, say 500 copies. This increases the perceived value of your offer. But again, you have to really only give away 500 copies if you don't want to erode your credibility!

Use A Picture

Use a picture of your giveaway product. Although your product might be a digital product, having a graphic of it gives it better perceived value.

Have A Strong Call To Action

Don't be hesitant in asking your reader to sign up for your list. Ask him to subscribe to your newsletter right away! This is where many Internet marketers fizzle out. They don't ask for the action to be taken.

Have A Neat And Simple Layout

Neat and simple converts the best! If your opt-in page is filled with too many words and pictures, people will get confused and click away. So keep it simple. Look at Google's home page, it has an incredibly simple layout that works well!
