The Science of Getting Rich-Are You a Competitor or a Creator?

The answer to that question could provide considerable insight into many aspects of your life - business and personal. The "good book", The Science of Getting Rich, is clear on the point of using competition to accumulate wealth. It most certainly can be done; people do it everyday. But is it the preferred method of achieving business success?

When we understand the philosophy behind creation, and when we truly leave the competitive plane for the creative plane, that is when we are truly free. Since immersing myself in this study, I have achieved clarity on this point that is absolutely liberating. As internet and network marketers we are often conditioned to be competitive. We are competing for top spot on google, protective of our websites and copy rights, always guarding our success secrets. Some of us even pay to get the latest "secrets" of the internet and networking gurus. When you are in competition you are, by necessity, on guard. Many successful network marketers I know have achieved great success, on the competitive plane. Often, these master marketers exhibit anger that is sometimes mistaken for arrogance. I now see it as protection. The marketer who "makes it" on the competitive plane is ever fearful of "the competition" taking what is his, be it his ideas, his product or his strategies. He presents himself in such a manner so as to discourage others from "stealing" from him. And others will and do steal or borrow from him. He is very wealthy from a monetary stand point, but is he free?

True Freedom

When we move from the competitive to the creative plane, we know that there are no limits to what we can achieve or to the money that we can attract to us. We do not have a need to protect our property or our ideas to the extent that we are consumed by it. We are not on guard or needing to keep our eye on "the competition". We are free to share and cooperate.

We are bombarded on the internet with offers to purchase the "secrets" of the "big dogs" or of the wealthy or the successful, when in truth, knowing their strategies will not assist us at all. That is the real SECRET - that there are no magic bullets, no secrets. When we buy or sell other people's "secrets" we are playing on the competitive field. The TRUTH is that few have ever achieved success by duplicating someone who has. We see this time and again, and the reason is clear when you understand The Law of Attraction. Two people can take the exact same action - one may see great success, the other great failure. Success is not something that can be "copied".

The Certain Way

This is discussed in detail in The Science of Getting Rich. It is stated that the one who achieves success, while doing the same actions as the one who fails, does those actions in THE CERTAIN WAY. This certain way is the creative process, and whether the successful person is aware or not, he is vibrating on the level that is in harmony with success. The person who learns to perform these acts with AWARENESS is able to obtain riches creatively, which is permanent and free from worry or stress. This is THE CERTAIN WAY to obtaining riches in a scientifically correct manner. It cannot fail.

All we need to learn to do is to gain mastery over our own thinking, and how to perform our work in THE CERTAIN WAY. This is truly the only "study" we need to concern ourselves with. Once this is mastered, then it is quite possible that these other offerings may be of some benefit, but certainly not until. What is the use of reading or listening about how others achieved success when it is not their actions that created their success?

I teach how to's of internet marketing, and it has been frustrating as a trainer, when I see some people follow the instructions exactly, yet fail to get the results they should. It is clear that following the advice of successful networkers is not always effective. It is evident that performing the same actions does not produce the same result. It takes more than belief and positive thinking. Network marketers must learn to think and act in the Certain Way.

I believe in my heart, that the study of The S4FCcience of Getting Rich, is the first training that is necessary. Learn to master your mind, and the rest will fall into place.

Beat Stress Now! 10 Easy Tips

Everyone's busy. Today many of us feel added pressure with fax machines, cell phones, kids and co-workers. The average worker fields 52 phone calls, 36 emails and 23 voice mails a day. And, the holidays and the stress that sometimes comes with it are fast approaching. Here are 10 quick and easy tips for managing stress. Please feel free to share them with your friends and colleagues.

1) Focus on your strengths not on your wea5B4knesses. Perfectionists take note: the average American is 32 years old, married, laughs 15 times a day, and has 27 trillion fat cells. Nobody's perfect. Beat stress by going easy on yourself. Focus on your strengths and work on your weaknesses. Don't obsess over your weaknesses because perfectionism often leads to procrastination.

2) Get up in the morning 30 minutes earlier.Start your day with solitude and more clarity by rising a half hour earlier than those in your household. Spend quiet time journaling, praying or meditating. Just begin by writing your thoughts, dreams, goals and fears. Start thinking about how to organize your day.

3) Break the worry habit. 95% of what you worry about never happens. Ask yourself, "Even if the worst happened, what could I learn from this experience?" Have a plan B just in case.

4) Spend time outdoors and out in nature. Especially in fall and winter when the days get shorter, it's important to spend time outdoors every day in the natural daylight. Even if it's gray and overcast, research shows that time spent in daylight, especially in the morning, helps reduce Seasonal Affect Disorder or "SAD." Where I live in the Pacific Northwest, I can actually notice a positive shift in my mood and that of others when late spring arrives and it's light until 8:45 p.m.

5) Remember the formula E + R = 0. Event + (your) Reaction = Outcome. You can't always controls the events or outside circ5B4umstances around you, but you CAN control how you react. This isn't a new concept, but sometimes we need to be reminded of it. Most of us spend more time worrying about the things outside of our control. I conducted a speaking engagement recently in Seattle on "Dealing with Difficult People." I reminded everyone of the importance that their response plays in determining their outcomes.

6) Laughter is a serious business! Laugh to reduce stress. It's a well-known fact that laughter helps reduce stress and build the immune system. Laughter IS the best medicine. It gets those endorphins or "feel-good" hormones into the brain and elevates your mood.

7) Don't overreact when dealing with difficult people - especially antagonists. Antagonists, otherwise known as "pot stirrers," often have a desire for dissention. They're looking to purposely rattle your cage, ruffle your feathers, and get you to say something you'll regret. As Zig Ziglar once said, "No one can get your goat if they don't know where it's tied up."

8) Reward yourself for a job well done. Indulge in a massage, manicure or pedicure. Recently I had the glorious pleasure of staying at the Phoenician hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona. Splurging on an hour-plus massage worked wonders! Not to mention laying out by the pool enjoying the beautiful desert scenery of Camelback Mountain, and later, Sedona.

9) Check your adult at the door. Act like a kid again! Play, run, e5B4ngage in a favorite sport or hobby like golf, tennis, or hanging out with your children at the park. Make sure to have a date night with your spouse or significant other. Take a day off and play at the beach doing something you haven't done in years like playing Frisbee or building sand castles.

10) Cultivate an attitude of gratitude. List 10 things you're grateful to have in your life. Revisit and appreciate the simplest of pleasures. Sip your favorite cup of gourmet coffee. Sit outside in the springtime in the garden of a friend's house. Enjoy sunset on the coast. Appreciate the feeling of being more energized after a workout. Be grateful for your health.

Decide today to make a commitment to do one activity that will reduce stress and maximize success. Do it now. What you do in the present determines your future. Enjoy!

Who Is The Main Character In This Story?

Life. What's it all about? Our feelings and thoughts control our lives. Whatever we focus on is what we get!!! I have a friend who I know for about 5 years now. She is one of those people who always have the same story to tell. Let me explain. I was her boss at one time and I had to tell her I was letting her go so that she would leave on her own. I liked her so much as a person that I didn't want to fire her yet I knew my boss didn't want her there. She was not good for the business. She made the same mistakes over and over again. She has the kindest heart and is a very sweet person. Her only problem is she lets people walk all over her and she blames everyone for her mistakes. Everything that happens in her life happens TO her as far as she's concerned. Nothing happens from her actions. She does not take responsibility for her life at all. The one thing that I learned from Jack Canfield's book the Success Principles and also from other great masters is take 100% responsibility for your life. Most of the time, she doesn't take any responsibility for her life. She is always the victim. She is always the one who other people are doing something to.

Here's her story. Job after job, relationship after relationship, and the other person is always mean or angry or blames her for doing things incorrectly. She states over and over again, I told them, "I'm doing the best that I can". Obviously, she is not. She can't get the same reaction out of every boss, every person and every relative. Everyone else cannot be doing something wrong. I asked her today "Who is the main character in all of these stories". Of course, she doesn't want to hear that. She still thinks everyone is to blame but herself. She was in an abusive relationship. Everyone that she knows treats her like she's a kid and everyone reprimands her and talks nasty to her. She is in her fifties and still gets yelled at by her relatives. She brings it upon herself by the things she says and does, if that makes any sense at all.

This story is not to speak badly about a friend; it's to talk to you about taking responsibility for your own life. If you find that every situation is against you, take a mB68oment and ponder this - maybe it's YOU. Maybe you are causing the situations. Ever hear of the Law of Attraction. Maybe you are like that magnet attracting these situations to yourself over and over again. You may be saying, "Okay, that sounds like me but how do I change it"? Good question, thanks for asking. Simply change your thoughts. Changing your thoughts and the way you feel about situations can change the situation. Sometimes our lack of self-confidence brings on these situations. You need to get clear with the fact that you are causing this life that you live. Everything that you do has an affect on your life. Everything that you think has an affect on your world. Everything that you feel has an affect on you and your surroundings. Until you understand the "Law of Attraction" you cannot change anything. I'm here to tell you that you can change your thoughts and feelings towards any situation in your life.

You have two choices. Change the way you feel about the situation you are in or get out! Start seeing other people as your friends. Don't think that everyone is against you and you can surely change the experience. Remember, whatever you do, it is your choice. Whether you make a choice or you don't make a choice, you are still making a choice! Do you get that? Don't ask the question "why is this happening to me" or "why does this always happen to me"? Ask why am I doing this or bringing this upon myself and what can I do to change this situation, these thoughts, or these feelings. Once you change the way you look at situations, you will completely change our life experiences. If you know someone who keeps complaining about the same thing over and over again in all different situations and circumstances, ask them "Who is the main character in that story"?

Lacking Self-Esteem? "Loser, You're Useless!"...Words That Echo

Echo Chamber What are the words that echo in your mind? You cant do that! Youll never make it alone! Grow up! Always do your best. Do the right job or dont do it at all! People are looking at you!

Some of these expressions are meant to spur us on to excellence: others can be a put-down that lasts a lifetime. Words like: Jerk! Slow poke, Dummy, Goof off! Old fashioned, can leave a devastating mark on a persons psyche, be they 8 or 88.

Angry admonition is hurtful 6 year-old Betty, trying to be a helpful daughter by setting the table for dinner, stumbled and broke two dinner plates. Her father yelled at her for breaking the plates. Betty felt ashamed, guilty for breaking the plates, and was deeply embarrassed in front of the guests.

Her Uncle Phil admonished his brother for being so hard on the child, Shes trying to help, Mack. It was an accident. he said. If her uncle had not come to her rescue and pleaded her case, no doubt she would have felt worse for her mistake.

Words spoken to a child can leave an indelible memory of success or failure, while the person who speaks it has forgotten about the expression of emotion the moment after it was spoken. If the child has a strong spirit and a certain amount of self-confidence, he or she may take a remark such as You cant do that! as a challenge and prove the speaker wrong. As a matter of fact, that challenge could be a lifetime goal to prove, Yes I can! which, in reality, can be a good thing.

Painful, also in marriage In marriage as in childhood, words of a loved one can have the sting of a bee and can be the juice that stimulates hope, joy and togetherness. As singles, we not only have to overcome the many pitfalls of our singleness, but, there is the underlying distant voice with the connotation of unworthiness saying, You failed! or You are a divorced person!

As a widowed person, the old You should have done more for him/her before he/she died, rears its ugly head. A number of other regretful, useless accusations swim through the brain causing us to wish we could have changed the outcome of our lives. We all live with un-named voices in our head, sometimes positive, but mostly accusing.

We think 50,000 thoughts a day.

Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen in their book THE ALLADIN FACTOR, say One of the most effective techniques for motivating ourselves is positive self-talk. We think almost fifty thousand thoughts a day. Many of those thoughts are about ourselves and many are negative.

Whenever a child has tried to diminish another child, one to the favorite sayings mothers sometimes use is: Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me!

Sorry Mom, but you are wrong!

Words can and do affect those around you. Your children, your spouse, (if you have one) friends, co-workers even strangers are affected by what you say, good, bad or indifferent. An Art Teacher who admired your work, a boss who called you down for a misstep, a friend who laughed at an idea that was very dear to your heart, a parents reprimand for something that you did not think was a failing, are all examples of how words can affect us into our adult life.

Be conscious of your words

  • We should be conscious of the effect our words can and do have on others, good or bad.
  • We should come to realize that our careless words hurt us, as much as the intended targets.
  • Imagine standing in the other persons shoes whenever we have to criticize.
  • Use words that are not condescending to the personality, but the action.
  • If our words encourage others, it will give us a boost.
  • When offering advice, a ready smile softens the words that spill from our mouth.
  • An apologetic attitude is the first step to repairing the damage done, when our words have injured someone.
Words are powerful vehicles that can do much damage or can create healing or spur us on to be our best self.

In business today it is tough. It seems like everyone is starting a business or selling your product or service. More and more business owners and salespeople just like you, are competing for the same pool of prospects. So how do you win?

If a potential customer decides they need a special product or service, what do they usually do? The fact is that is, the biggest ad usually wins! How can you compete? How can you win without spending the most money? You become the "Expert". You become the person they first think of, the person they trust and the person they call. You become the person they refer people to. And you become the "Expert" by writing a book.

E-Book Marketing Strategy #3, being an author and "Expert" on a subject will open doors to potential "Free" marketing opportunities that you would never be invited to if you were not an author. Writing a book gives you more recognition and professional credibility. You are the one who gets asked to speak at local and/or national events. For example, the local Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, Lions, etc., are always looking for speakers for their meetings. If you speak as an owner of a business or salesperson, you come across as just "looking for business". Question, who does your local paper, radio station or TV station call when they need information on a specific industry, product or service? Again, they look for the Expert, the one who has written a book. For example, if the local paper is going to do a story on tips for selling your home, they are going to contact a realtor or two for some expert quotes and opinions. Who are they going to call? You can hope that they go through the Yellow pages and find you out of all the hundreds of other realtors, or you can be a little proactive and put the odds in your favor. How? Once you have written your E-Book, "Tips to Sell Your Home Faster!", you send all the local media a copy. Now you are the "Expert". The one who they will call when they do any story on Real Estate in your area. Again, you have invoked the "Top of Consciousness" concept to the media that you are the "Expert" in the field of Real Estate.

Why E-Book vs. Hard Cover Book?

Even if you have the time and expertise to write a conventional book, is it worth the time and effort and expense?

With an E-Book you can write as little or as much as you want. If you are a car salesman and want to write a short 10 page E-Book on "Tips to Buying a Used Car" or a travel agent wanting to write a 10 page E-Book on "Insider Tips to Choosing a Cruse" you can.

If you were going to try to get a little 10 page book published...Good Luck! Matter of fact, if you are a first time author with no credentials, and want to try to get your first book published...Good Luck!. Mark Victor Hansen and Jack Canfield, both well respected authors, with over 20,000 intent to buy letters, were turned down by over 100 publishers, when they wrote the first "Chicken Soup for the Soul" book.

How about production and distribution cost" With a conventional book, you have to pay for each book that is printed. With an E-Book, you pay a relatively small upfront production fee and it's your's. You can give or distribute as many copies as you want. You can charge for each E-Book or give it away as a Free Gift. You can put a downloadable copy on your website to capture prospect's information. You can send them via email and utilize the "Viral Marketing" concept. There are dozen's of strategies that you can come up with to promote your company, product or service with an E-Book.

The bottom line is if you can get a conventional book published...go for it. But if you are like most of us this is not an option. What is an option is to write an E-Book, about your industry, company, product or service. Get your E-Book out and become the "Expert" and explode your business.

Now Is Better - Relax And Be Happy

Hi Everyone, The Science of Getting Rich is not only about inspired action and thought, It is also about relaxing, having fun and enjoying your God given life! Who wants to be around someone who is so serious all of the time? Having fun is attractive and is the base for attraction. It's a higher vibration. The reason I am writing this article is to let you know that we shouldn't take ourselves so seriously. Now is better, be playful, even if it feels like nothing is going right.

This has happened to me so many times that is why I am writing this. We focus on the things we want and then get ticked off when they don't show up on OUR time. We push and push and wear our selves down until we're frustrated, angry and tired. Only to find what we wanted shows up without our awareness of it and often times even better than we expected!

I have been guilty of this so many times now that I'm finally starting to get the lesson. I am often too serious about making a living, doing this and doing that and often forget to be happy for what I have and who I am. What I am saying is-- What makes you smile? What makes you feel good? Focus on those things. We can't change the past but wh1049en you do look back, look for the good, even if you think that there isn't any, there is. Everyone has some good in their past! As you accept that good feeling you are transferring it to the NOW, which is present time and that is all we have, present time. The more you do this, ( in my experience) there seems to be more good to focus on, and what you thought was bad starts to fall away like it wasn't there in the first place.

Quick story, I am a realtor by trade. I listed my brother and his wife's home two years ago. They listed it on their own for quite a while before they asked me to list it. This is a very nice home all custom wood work etc.-- half million dollar home. (That is a higher price range here, so it sometimes takes longer... so I think.) I had the listing for 6 or 7 months with some action and no offers. They have moved out and into their new home (downsized, kids are gone) and getting a little nervous about paying two mortgages.

It's February now and this is the time for his annual ski trip out west. Before he left I told him to have fun and focus on your skiing and we will have an offer when you get back! I did an open house that weekend and while I was waiting for someone to show up, I relaxed and quieted my thoughts. During that open house a couple shows up, loves the house and within 4 days we had an accepted offer. What a nice surprise! That couple told me that when they would drive out from where they lived to look at homes they would always turn right at a certain stop sign. That day they turned left and had no idea why. (I do!) The Universe was in control.

The point of that short story is that when my brother was having fun and relaxing the Universe was lining things up (My sister-in-law was working. Tax season started and she was focused on that in case your were wondering) And I also gave it up to the Universe and let God handle it, I was doing all I could on my end. Also, it gets even better, being that the buyers came in on an open house and were not working with another agent, I received both sides of the commission-which works for me and the sellers. ( Brother and sister-in -law) They did not have to pay the full commission because of the way the contract was written, which allowed them to take a little less on the offer! It was a win, win, win for everyone. God is good!

Now is better-relax and be happy! Get out and have some fun it will take your mind off of any issues that may be bothering you!

Walk The Walk - Time For You To Get Published!

The rewards of getting your book published can be huge, but the costs can be steep. If you want to be a published writer, understand that you will probably have to adjust your thinking and walk the publisher's walk.

Your dynamic keynote speech that received that long standing ovation may not translate into a salable book; your comic routine that makes them double up in their seats may not work when it's put in writing. Your book that your children can't have read to them too often might not cut it in the competitive world of kids' books.

If you want to get your book published, you'll have to relearn how to walk. You'll have to learn how to walk the publishing walk, but when you do, you may be able to walk directly to the bank!

Believe in your idea; keep that fire burning in your heart and stay convinced that your book must be published.

Then feed agents, editors, and publishers exactly what they want. Play the game; walk the walk.

Walking the publishing walk is not always simple; it's cluttered by so many rules. Plus every house, editor, agent, bookseller, and reader has their own requirements, preferences and biases on what and how you must deliver.

Fortunately, each and every one of them is different. They have different backgrounds, different reactions, and different likes and dislikes. Also they can be open, curious, willing to take a chance, or like, understand, or identify with you. So follow their rules, as hard as they may seem, because it could get you noticed and increase your chances of selling your book.

Adopting a positive attitude is the hallmark of a professional, and it will pay off in the long run. Everyone-especially agents, editors, and publishers-wants to work with professionals; they ultimately will be more accommodating and helpful to professionals. So, do yourself a big favor and make getting your book published easier by adjusting your outlook. Then, prepare to cash in.

Years ago, Robyn Spizman wrote a book called The Thank You Book, which has been revised, updated, and is still successfully in print and selling very well. That book embodied the spirit of my work as a writer. When I first shared the idea, I was told it was a magazine article, not a book. It would have been easy to quit right then and there, but I believed in the art of gratitude and knew this book was meant to be.

She put this book's philosophy to work throughout her career. If an editor assisted her, a librarian guided her or anyone offered her help or advice, she made sure to send them a handwritten thank-you note. A key to success in any business is to express your appreciation to those individuals who make a difference in your career from the ground up! Keep in mind, an attitude of gratitude goes a long way!

Action Steps

Identify the items involved in getting your book published that you didn't expect. Just list the things that you can think of at this time without exploring further in this book. List the items you must complete to get your book published that you don't feel comfortable with. What do you think your weaknesses will be? What haven't you ever done or don't do well? List all of the possible benefits that getting your book published can bring. Think expansively. Don't just include those that should occur, but also list the wildest possibilities.

Compare the effort you will be required to make with the benefits that you might get. Will it be worth it?

Write what you think being a professional writer means to agents, editors, and publishers. Remember:

Aspiring writers are frequently not prepared for the obstacles they must overcome to get published. For example, they may receive many conflicting opinions that they don't want to hear. Frequently, they don't know how to deal with them and find them difficult and discouraging. Many get frustrated, disillusioned, and quit.

If you want to get your book published, believe in your ideas. Keep the fire burning in your heart, and remain dedicated and convinced that your book must be published. Give agents, editors, and publishers exactly what they want, even more than they ask. Play the game; walk the publishing walk. Develop a platform from which your voice can be clearly heard.

The Agenting Process Explained - Part 1

Every literary agent and agency operates somewhat differently; they may have a different emphasis, style or approach, but all follow a basically similar pattern. Some agencies may specialize in building and managing their clients' careers, while others concentrate on making individual books into giant, blockbuster hits. However, when it comes to selling books, agencies take similar paths.

Contacting An Agent: Most writers initially contact agents via e-mail. Agents like e-mail inquiries because they're easy to answer. Responding by e-mail saves them time, which is critical because most of the queries they receive are about books that the agents don't handle or are not interested in handling. A declining number of holdouts prefer to receive query letters sent via postal mail, but they're in the minority. So check each agent's Web site to see if it states how the agent prefers to be queried. Potential clients can also initially contact agents at conferences and other events. For information on writers' conferences, see Writer's Digest (www.writersdigest.com) and ShawGuides (http://writing.shawguides.com).

Many agents won't accept unsolicited telephone queries, and if you call, their screeners generally won't put you through. So, again, before you contact agents, check their Web sites to see how they wish to be approached. If, however, you do get through, most agents will ask you to submit something in writing: a query letter, a book proposal or your entire manuscript, if it's written. Agents want written submissions so they can get a sense of the writers' ability to express themselves clearly. Written submissions also let agents see how well writers are organized and their skill in presenting themselves and their ideas. Agents get a lot of their new clients through referrals from their existing clients and their publishing contacts.

Think Like an Agent: So you're looking for an agent. Where are you going to find one? First of all, ask yourself this simple question: Where do agents go? To be more specific: What conferences do they attend? Where do they speak? What organizations do they belong to? Although we certainly aren't suggesting that you follow them around, we do want you to start thinking like agents think. If you do, it will improve your chances of being at the right place at the right time. Research the literary and publishing scene in your local area. See if, when, and where any writers' associations, publishers' groups, and literary clubs meet. Are any nearby bookstores, libraries or cafes conducting interesting programs or hosting book signings? Are local colleges or universities offering lecture series featuring writers, agents, and/or publishers? Since many writers teach, investigate whether any well-known authors are teaching courses that you could attend in your area, even if it's just to sit in. Go where book people congregate and make contacts.

Book Publishing, How Rich Authors Make Money

This is not something most authors think of but it is true. Most authors make money because they expand their portfolio of products. They do not just write one book, they create an empire of information. Let us take a look at two very different examples.

JK Rowling is quite possibly the wealthiest traditionally published author ever. She has 7 books, 7 movies, and a theme park and I am sure there are other projects in the works. What i my point? She did not just write one book and sit back and wait, she created more books and other related projects to make more money.

Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen self published Chicken Soup for the Soul. Since that very first book, they too did not stop at one book; they created a mega empire and more Chicken Soup books that you can count. They also have greeting cards, gift packs, dog food, puzzles, calendars, vitamins, games and music all with the chicken soup for the soul theme.

Now, I am not suggesting you write a book and theD50n license vitamins with your book's title. That worked for the Chicken Soup folks; it might not work for you. The point is that these authors all became incredibly rich by creating a product empire from their first book.

How can you create a product empire?

One of the easiest ways is to focus on information marketing. You have a book as your first product where can you go from there? Presumably you could create an audio book and sell that. What about an online course? Does a CD ROM work for your market?

Why Build an Information Marketing Empire?

People learn differently. Some learn by watching and others learn by hearing or actually going through the motions. When you provide your information in a variety of mediums, you are respecting these learning styles and you are broadening your customer base and you are broadening your audience appeal.

People are more likely to buy from you again and again, if they liked their previous purchase and received benefit from it. This is why it is important to provide only quality products.

As you increase your product line, you can offer a variety of cost levels. For example, if your book costs $30 that is a great entry level price but some people may be interested in spending more to receive more. This is when offering a seminar or consulting services can meet the needs of the customers with the larger budget. By offering a variety of price points, you are broadening your target market.

More products give people the perception that you are more than the expert in your field, you are the guru. You are the single best person to go to because you offer so many products in your niche field.

Offering a host of products in your expert area is the best way to become a rich author. Do not settle for being a one hit wonder, increase the opportunities to gain great wealth and expand your book product into an information marketing empire.

How Storytelling Can Grow Your Business

People love stories. We love to hear about other people, and stories help us to learn, remember and put to use new concepts. Aesop knew this. His fables help us to learn life lessons through tales about others, without having to learn them the hard way.

In modern times, Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen also understand the power of stories to teach, motivate, and inspire. Their "Chicken Soup for the Soul" books continue to sell in the millions of copies because they tap into our primal need to connect with others through storytelling.

What can stories do for you and your business? Stories can educate customers about a need they have and how you fill it, subtly demonstrate your expertise, create empathy, suggest new uses for your products, train new customers and employees, and motivate listeners to take action.

I recently observed several group presentations by an insurance agent. He knew many of the people in the audience, and prior to each presentation he would look for someone who had made a claim under their policy and ask them to tell the audience how the benefits had helped them through a difficult time. If there was no one in the audience to do it, he would tell about someone who had used the policy and what it had done for them. The16C7 stories the agent told were effective, but hearing the claimants themselves was incredibly powerful. Hearing someone talk about the uncertainty of illness, the expenses they faced which were not covered by other insurance, and what the benefits meant to them was moving. I'm sure he sold lots of policies!

Where will you get stories? Stories from your own experience can be effective, and they are unique. You may also get stories from customers, employees, friends and others. The media can be a source of stories. Stories that are familiar because they have been told through the media can establish a commonality between you and your audience, or among members of your audience. Stories unique to your experience provide a personal touch, and can be surprising because they are not known to the audience.

Another possibility is creating composite or fictional stories. This may not be acceptable in some circumstances. For example, several newspaper columnists have been fired for making up stories, or creating composite characters, and passing them off as absolute truth. However, if your primary purpose is to educate or entertain, and you are not presenting them as news, you may take some liberties with minor details of your stories or take bits and pieces from multiple stories and combine them into one composite. Remember that it is important to maintain credibility, so don't do anything that would deceive your audience.

Once you have your stories, where will you use them? Tell them when you are in one-on-one meetings, in group presentations, and when making speeches. Write them down and include them in articles, brochures, sales letters, on your web site and in other written communications. Record them on audio or video and use them in commercials. Use them when training new employees to teach them about your company and its culture. Publish them in your client or company newsletter to reinforce emotional ties.

Stories are a powerful tool which teach and motivate by making an emotional connection with your audience. Use them wisely and well.

The one who they will call when they do any story on Real Estate in your area. Again, you have invoked the "Top of Consciousness" concept to the media that you are the "Expert" in the field of Real Estate.

Even if you have the time and expertise to write a conventional book, is it worth the time and effort and expense?

The Laws of Attraction and self worth are all about what you are able to do and how you go about doing it. Every single person has an agenda and if they tell you otherwise see of their nose is getting longer. Having an open agenda is the best way for your direction to flow towards the areas you intend them to. Developing self worth is as rewarding as giving money to charity and the best part of it is you are giving from the heart of yourself to yourself without being consciously aware of it. That is when you are in sync with your spirit and spontaneity flows like a fresh water stream alive with great ideas.

Layoffs, part time and absolutely no job are self depreciating situations that can literally happen to any one who is dependant on others for their source of employment. This does not have to be the case and before this scenario becomes a reality it may be time for you to think about creating a plan B.

This is where your confidence in your self worth pays dividends because you are planning ahead and not waiting for the roof to cave in before you attend to any potential pitfalls in the structure of your umbrella of peace. With a healthy love for yourself and your loved ones it is easier to look at them and say that yes you are not going to let anything take away their security, peace of mind and especially their home and you are going to take the necessary steps to build your fallout shelter. You see once again the Laws of Attraction will work in your favour when you do the right things with the right beliefs in place and for the right reasons; because having a plan B is just like wearing your seat belt.

Coaching like this is a gentle nudge in the right direction to assist you and encourage you when there are doubts and hesitating actions that may be holding you back and preventing you from taking that first step. Because all it takes is a first step and then another, like Jack Canfield portrayed in The Secret when you are driving from NY to CA, all you need is to be able to see 200 feet in front of you and you know without a shadow of a doubt that your confidence rests in the knowledge that you will reach your destination. Any destination begins with one step in the right direction. So go right ahead and prepare for that first step calling The Laws of Attraction because you are creating your plan B. Enjoy the journey because the destination will give you the biggest smile of your life.
